違い、説明できますか？ 何となく使い分けているけれど明確な違いを説明できない、そんな方は結構多いと思います。難しくないので是非マスターしましょう！
“I will be doing”
“I will be doing”には未来進行形、未来形の用法の２種類あるので、それぞれ詳しく見ていきます。
未来進行形
未来に視点を置いた時に、その周辺で継続していること（まだ終わっていないこと）を表すのに使われます。ずっと継続しているわけではなく、一時的なものであることに注意しましょう。
また、”I am doing”と同様に、状態動詞が”I will be doing”の形を取ることはほとんどありません。動作動詞と状態動詞について、詳しくは以下のリンクをご覧ください。
- He will be running in the park about this time.
- She is taking a few days off. She will be enjoying the beautiful scenery Taiwan offers.
- We have stacks of work around this time and will be working on next Saturday.
- Don’t call me between 10 to 11. I will be having a meeting with my client.
- In a day the new Apple devices will be lined up and people will be making a queue from the night before.
- The relationship at my workplace is so poor that I will not be working there much longer.
未来形
誰かと決めていたことや、もう決まっていることを表すのに使います。具体的な日時、曜日、時間等を伴うことが多いという特徴があります。”I am doing”の未来形とほとんど意味の違いはありません。
- The train will be leaving (is leaving) the next station in a few minutes, so please be ready to get off the train.
- The prime minister will be having (is having) a press conference every Thursday.
“I will have done”
“I will have done”は未来完了形と呼ばれる用法です。未来の一時点ですでに終わっていることを表すのに使われます。この感覚を理解するのは少し難しいですが、あえて言うなら、日本語の「…後には、～してしまっている」に対応します（実際のところ、日本語でこのような言い回しはあまり見ない）。
“soon”、”next year”、”an hour from now”、”by the time I do ~”等、未来の一時点を表すような表現を頻繁に伴います。
- Next year we will have been married for 10 years.
- 10 minutes from now, the train will have arrived at the station.
- We have stacks of work, but at this rate we will have finished it by Sunday.
- By the time you get home, Doraemon will have done your homework.
- No matter how tragic events occur, they will soon have been forgotten in the galaxies of other events.
- The artist is giving a finishing touch to his work which will have been shown to the public in a month.
